The drops in question are "neomycin and polymyxin B sulfates and hydrocortisone otic suspension, USP" and I'm to give one drop at a time four times a day. They were prescribed to my son on the 3rd.

You should call the doctor or the pharmacist and find out. It should be about a week or so. It is important that you give the medication while the eardrum heals itself as it is sensitive to infection until it heals. Any infection could spread further into the ear if you don't.

usually you administer the meds until they are gone, even if he is feeling better, but you need to put a call in to the dr because it could be different. Call in the morning...

it should say, if not ask the pharmacist the should be stated with the dosage amount
