Why do people have sex before they are married? Do they do it because they know it's wrong? I just want to know because I know it is wrong and I won't have sex until I am happily married to the man of my dreams!

It would help if you asked about an age as well, if the people are young just starting out in puberty then they do not know how to control the changes in their bodies and give in to them. Perhaps they were not raised that they should wait as well.
As for adults, people do what they want and sex feels good, and humans tend to do what will make them feel good. It could be what you said to that they know it is a sin and people tend to want what they know they shouldn't or what they can't have.
Some people don't care and nothing matters to them and they don't have certain limits for themselves.
Now some people it could be that they need to find out if they are sexually compatible before tying themselves down to one person. It is a life decision to get married and some people need the conformation that they are sexually drawn to the other person.
This question depends on the type of person and how they were raised to be able to give you a straight answer. It really depends on the person.

Uh, because they want to know if they're going to be sexually compatible before they tie the knot. Yes, I know, love means more than just sex. Still, it's a way for people to be happy together, and it beats the h##l out of playing cards. So cut 'em some slack...

People don't even bother to get married much now days anyway.There is no social stigma in living with someone and having children and not being married.Good for you.Hang on to your morals if you can resist the temptation.It's easier said then done.

Great for you. My guess is that they're just curious or maybe they're pressured into it by there partner. I'm with u, i don't understand why people would want to have sex before marriage.
