HELL IN KJV
One Hebrew word “sheol” is rendered hell. Definition; hades or the world of the dead (as if a subterranian retreat), grave, hell, pit. Three Greek words are rendered hell; geenna, hades, and tartaroo. Definition of geenna; a valley of Jerusalem, used (figuratively) as a name for the place (or state) of everlasting punishment: - hell. Definition of hades; properly unseen, that is, “Hades” or the place (state) of departed souls: - grave, hell. Definition of tartaroo; (the deepest abyss of Hades); to incarcerate in eternal torment: - cast down to hell. Tartaroo is used only one place II Pet.2:4.
Christ teaching the Pharisees in Luke 16:19-31 shows us a separation from God is truly what hell is. The “water” is symbolic for God’s Spirit and love. The word “tormented” means distressed in the Greek, not torture. The “fire” is symbolic for the shame and desire not to be separated from God.
So all who die the first death of the flesh return to God Ecc.12:6-7, but on which side of the gulf do they end up?
Hell is not eternal but is done away with in Rev.20:14-15, called both the second death and lake of fire. This second death is non-existence, for death and hell and those not written in the book of life. This second death or lake of fire is like fat drippings that fall into the fire. Just a poof of smoke into non-existence.
Psa.37:20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
In my mind what’s worse yet is no memory of you, no tears will be shed for you like you never existed.
Rev.21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
So hell is a separation from God and is not eternal torture or burning. Eventually hell will be done away with or passed away and also some souls. Like fat drippings in the fire, a poof of smoke into non-existence, the second death.

Its real. The jews pray for the lifeless and that i think of the Moslems. I had issue with it yet I pray for my kin and significant different and young ones and found out i assumed in Purgatory simply by fact it would make no experience in the event that they have been already in Heaven or Hell or in the floor to stay. Its in the bible without using the notice Purgatory. Maccabees. extra suitable than a Catholic concept as stated via bigots of guy made religions that weren't around in the midsection a while.

* The doctrine of Purgatory, established by Gregory I 593
* Purgatory proclaimed a dogma by Council of Florence 1439
Both of the above are Catholic Church inventions. You will not find purgatory in the Bible.
Jesus told the thief on the cross that he would see him in Paradise that same day; he did not have to make a stop-over in purgatory.

It's man made. Hell is Real and Heaven is Real, but Purgatory - I haven't seen any evidence in the Bible for it's existence.

The word purgatory is not in the Bible; neither is the Holy Trinity but the teachings are there. It is a middle state of souls, suffering for a time on account of their sins, is shown by those many texts in Scripture which affirm that God will render to every person according to his or her works, so that such as die in lesser sins shall not escape without punishment.
Read and study: 2 Maccabees 12, 43-46; Luke 12,58f; 1 Corinthians 3,15; 1 Peter 3,18-20; Revelation 5,3.13.
Have a blessed and peaceful day

Purgatory is the place where the just souls of the ancients waited for Christ to come and redeem them.

No where in scripture does it say that it was ever closed or discontinued.

The Catholic Church decided to make use of it to avoid having to send less than perfect souls (many of them protestants) to hell.

Any soul that experiences purgatory is assured of heaven, at some point.

Why people would complain about such a great spiritual benefit makes no sense at all.

No purgatory is not true. It is always best to go to the Bible to see what is right and what it not. go to the Bible to answer your question:
(Hebrews 9:27 NIV) Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment
once you die it is all over and you will face judgment, there are no second chances or purgatory. Plus the Bible tells us that Jesus paid the whole price for our salvation, so there is no reason for us to suffer in purgatory if we believe in Him.

It's "man made"

On the admission of one of its cardinals, the Catholic church brought in many of the “instruments and appendages of demon-worship,” which it claims to have “sanctified by their adoption into the church.” In course of time, apostate Christianity adopted the Greek Plato’s philosophy of an inherently immortal soul, and to this it added the “hellfire” and “purgatory” teachings. Not content with myths of torture after death, the Catholic Inquisition of the thirteenth century introduced fiery tortures for “heretics” in this life. Catholic crusades sacrificed other innocent lives on the altar of carnal warfare.

“Since the early Middle Ages the Catholic Church has obtained, through the granting of indulgences alone, huge sums from rich and poor alike. These indulgences, given in return for money payments, almsgiving or other kinds of offerings, provide that one’s own soul or the soul of a deceased relative or friend be spared all or part of its destined punishment in purgatory.

Tradition is not necessarily bad. But this particular tradition is out of harmony with God’s Word. The Scriptures do not teach that the “soul” survives the death of the body. Obviously, then, it cannot be subjected to a period of purification in purgatory. Hence, the words of Jesus Christ to the Jewish religious leaders could rightly be directed to those teaching the purgatory doctrine: “You have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition. You hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about you, when he said, ‘This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me. It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach commands of men as doctrines.’”

Before the death and resurrection of Jesus there was a compartment below the earth called paradise where old testiment saints awaited the Messiah, Jesus after his death would preach the gospel to the righeous people before the crucifixation of jesus.

It is completely fictional. It's also dangerous because it gives people a reason to believe FALSELY that they can "get out" of hell AFTER death, by giving enough money for enough masses being said in "honour' of the dead person.....by paying to light enough candles in the church....ETC!!! And that is NOT Biblical. The Bible says..."And it is appointed unto man ONCE to die, but after this the JUDGMENT".

Hebrews 9:27

Are you going to believe a man-made RELIGION that wants your MONEY, or a loving GOD who wants to WARN you and who wants to SAVE you from this place? Which seems MOST LOGICAL to YOU????
