Why would you paper train a puppy? Paper training is very confusing to a puppy, and is not likely to be successful. Dogs train much easier to go outside. However, there are some reasons for a pup to have to stay indoors, such as the owner having a disability.

Litter box training is more likely to be successful than paper training.
Remember that you will be stuck changing the litter box for the rest of the dog's life..

Puppies take a while to train. It should take about 2-3 weeks.
As soon as the puppy is about to go, pick her up. Say "NO" and run her to the yard, unless you want to start on paper first. Its the same amount of work minus the running outside. Try and catch her every time or she wont learn. After a couple of weeks when shes starting to get the hang of it, if she makes a mistake, yell no and then point her nose near whatever she did. This might sound mean but she has to learn...

good luck

Paper training is really not a good idea - try a crate - look it up online and you will see how easy it is. But if you have your heart set on paper training, start with a small area that is blocked off. cover the entire area with newspaper, eventually take away 1/4 of the paper, then half, so on and so on until you are down to 2 or 3 pieces of paper, move that piece of paper by the door and then eventually you can move that piece of paper outside and the dog will gradually get it. please look into crate training. good luck

in case you won't be able to be homestead for 8 hours and your mom can in basic terms watch him for you on Fridays, you relatively don't have yet another determination yet paper training the superb option now. A 4 month previous domestic dog won't be able to hold itself for 8 hours at present, and in case you do away with the paper now it will in basic terms have injuries on your place. different than that, in case you have a fenced backyard, you may desire to purpose to teach it to start using a pup door. to coach it to bypass exterior whilst its been paper knowledgeable will in all probability be in actuality like potty training it for the 1st time. in basic terms take him exterior after ingesting, waking up, dozing, each 3 or 4 hours. yet on account which you would be in college for 8 hrs time-honored, this would not look in all probability that it could take place....

Dog should go outside. Paper training makes trouble down the road. I have seen may dogs that forever will use papers, rugs, bags...anything on the floor to "go" on. It is really NOT a good way to housebreak a pup.
