Both are really bad for your hair and will cause split ends and breaking also if you do it too much you hair will start 2 fall out but straight perm is a little less damaging.

i was thinking about that a few weeks ago i straighten my hair every day and i know it's a huge hassle and i did some research on the straight perm and stuff...it's best if you straighten your hair every other day becuase when you perm your hair all the chemicals will ruin you hair making it dry with split ends...plus for some people the perm makes their hair a MESS!! i have heard people tell me how badly it ruins their hair...trust me straighten your hair every other day but use something that will protect your hair from the heat and use leave in condition which will help restore any dead ends that the straighteniny might cuase and will help your hair be more healthier.

it's kinda the same.....

if you have the straight perm done you don't have to worry about having enough time to straighten you hair every day...

. . .

but there are prodects that you spray in your hair before you straighten it, and your hair doesn't get dammaged at all.
