My teacher chews some kind of gum and says her doctor gave it to her for stomache problems, just want to prove her wrong.

Not that I've ever heard of...quite the opposite!

Sounds to me like she's trying to stop smoking!

I know they make asprin gum, but this was back like years ago.

Never heard of such a thing. If anything gum gives you more of a stomach ache because it is fooling it into thinking that you are going to actually eat.

The only "benefit" I would know about,that for her, it would be a diversion,to take her mind off of her "anxiety and stresses that could be food or smoking. It would be very impolite of you to intrude in her personal problems,and try to embarrass her in any way. Always put yourself in the same situation,it would be hurtful to most people. Take care.
