Make sure when you are shampoo'ing your hair you get a good lather.
If you don't get a good lather the 1st time, rinse it out and shampoo 1 more time. You should get a good lather on the 2nd try.
Then condition as usual.
You know your hair is super clean once you get a good lather.
Good luck!

Oily hair? If you wash your hair too often you take away the natural oils. Wash your hair with the cheapest shampoo you can find and in your final rinse add vinegar to your water. If you must add conditioner buy for oily hair and put only on the very tip of you hair, never near the scalp. Having your hair permed will also help, as will hair colour; it dries hair. Hope this helps.!!!!!

If your hair is fair, or at least on the lighter side, try putting some baby powder on the roots. It helps soak up the oil or at least makes it look dry. I have done this trick MANY times before. (That and a well-placed ponytail/bun can hide the oilyness!)
You should probably talk to your stylist or drop by a beauty shop to purchase a shampoo and conditioner that is specifically designed to control the amount of oil in your hair.

Takes baby powder in your hands right after your shower and massage it into your scalp then brush it on out. it really works. You only need to do this every 2 or 3 days

I have the same problem...my hair is super fine and tends to get greasy. Bare Minerals makes a sheer version of their "warmth"...its great for putting on your hair roots when they oil up. Its a sheer brown so it won't look nasty or white when you dust some on. You can get it at www.qvc.com or www.sephora.com

wash your hair in the coldest water you can because hot water opens up the oil glands in your hair and cold water dose not open up the oil glands in your hair
