'Women get married in white to match all other dommestic appliences'
This comment was made a while ago by Bernie Exxlestone of F1 fame. Do people still think like that or is he just a dinasour?

Of course he's just a dinosaur. Comments like that have no relevance today, when women can do more with their lives than spend them in the kitchen.

well it is funny, i am a guy and i am also a Sous chef at a restaurant. So, girls alone don't go in the kitchen, as a matter of fact, you can check and you will notice that more than 80 % of industry Chefs and cooks are men. The funny thing is that we do dress in white Jackets...sooo :P.....
Eitherway, these kinds of comments also keep women away from learning how to cook and stuff like that. Then they get old and the barely know how to cook anything. I think people should really get over sexist comments, as they no longer (if ever) serve any purpose.
It is funny thou, that in my Calulus II class, most students are female, in fact out of 24, 18 are girls :).... should I say guys are dumb in math?..mmmm I don't think so.

Definitely dinasour. Incidentally his comment wasn't original the best man came away with that one at my daughter's wedding alomost 6 yrs ago and no doubt was going around long before that.

What I want to know is why you would pick up on such a statement. I think you are of similar thought. Comments like BE have made are obviously made for people to bring them into the lime light which is why I abbreviate the name as basically ignorance is bliss in BE's case.

No one with a brain still thinks like that. And considering how many modern applicance come in a variety of colors and textures, it's too outdated to even be funny.

Seriously though that was the first joke my husband told my dad. 10 years later my dad brought it up at his speech for my wedding. Luckily I wore light gold and black so it wasnt relevant to me!!

lol White is suppose to represent the purity of the untouched woman. It's suppose to in part represent her virginity. But then again, all women pretty much get marriend in white. . . THEY LIE lol It should be more like soap scummy colored or in most cases black lol . . . Very few women now-days would truthfully wear white.

Ha ha Is that why they have smaller feet too ? so they are able to get closer to the sink ? They say - a woman sinks into your arms, then ends up with her arms in your sink ! These are tongue in cheek & not serious, before I start to get visious replies. Honestly ! !

first of all if all he can afford is white appliances then he needs a better job and wedding dresses come in many color combinations these days. tell him keep in touch with himself maybe someday he will find someone just as backwards as he is p.s. my dress was white but i prefer stainless steel appliance bud !

There are people out there who still think like that, unfortunately. Just give them a piece of your mind when they say ignorant stuff like that.
