That depends on what caused it. You can ease the symptoms in a number of ways, take some butter dipped in sugar (yukky I know but it coats the throat and soothes it), or some honey. Failing that take some painkillers. You need to get to the bottom of why you have a sore throat though, are you a singer, do you smoke or have you a cold infection?

The best cure is to go to the doctor and see if you need antibiotics so you won't end up with strep throat that if left untreated can cause other damage to your body.

a teaspoon of honey or teaspoon vaseoline may sound a lil crazy my mom does that to me still and i am 21 and it works try the vasoline it is the fastest

gargle with warm water and salt. or gargle with soluble asprin. of ir ur in the uk get some halls, the ones in the black packet. alwyas works for me
