Ballatore Spumante is usually $10 or less and is a sweet sparkling wine that nondrinkers often enjoy. It tastes great with chocolate.....chocolate covered strawberries would be perfect!

Champagne -- the real stuff -- is a bit of an acquired taste. Have a look into an Italian Asti Spumante -- pleasant fruit flavors of Muscat grapes, and more softened by sweetness than Brut Champagnes. Or -- if you really want Champagne -- look for one labelled "Extra Dry." (The words don't mean what they say)

Korbel is a nice light champagne - not too sweet, not too dry. Reasonably priced, too. You could get a small bottle (some liquor stores sell 2-glass trial bottles) and taste it to see if you like it, before buying the larger 4-6 glass size.

You didn't say what your budget is, but one of my all time favorites is Pierre Jouet in the flowered bottle, circa 1995. It's pricey, but well worth it! On the cheaper side, Pierre Jouet makes a less expensive one as well. You might also consider a Spanish sparkling wine...either white or blush. Or, when all else fails, Cooks Extra Dry is not half bad and good for the budget!

Well I don't really drink alcahol all the time but when I do I tend to go for the more sweeter ones like sangrio (zinfidel?) or other types that are on the fruity, sweet side...but then again she might have a different taste GOOD LUCK

Tosti Asti is the best tasting champagne out there--doesn't taste like vinegar-- and it's reasonably priced...the only thing that makes it better is a touch of Cream of Cassis in the glass....ooh, it's sooooooo good

Look for anything on the label that says "demi-sec" or "cremant". Those are sweeter and not as dry, and easier to drink for someone who doesn't normally drink sparkling wine.

Try a muscat wine with a low alcohol content. She might like that.

I would try a red sweeter tasting wine. My Mom hates alcohol but enjoys sweeter wines...

I LOVE Muscato (slight bubbles) or Asti both are sweet and easy to drink if you don't normally drink..

Good Luck!
