I have a male blue heeler. His name is Cowboy Gus. We are real southerners...from Tenn. He's only 10 weeks old. Today we got a little girlie blue heeler to later breed. She's 8 weeks old. I'm looking for a good southern name. It's important to me cause it'll be on her breeding papers. It can be 2 names together. I once had a dog named Wyatt like Wyatt Earp - if that tells you about my taste. It can be off a movie. (Just not Daisy....I've already had one of those before.) Thanks in advance.

Well I have a red heeler and her name is Ginger. They are good dogs. A good name for your blue heeler could be Sugar n Spice or Mesia. Those 2 are some of my fave names for any kind of dog. Whatever you choose I'm sure that everyone will like it. You are good with names like Cowboy Gus I could of named my Lab that if I had a good imagination like you!! Well good luck!!!

just FYI Wyatt Earp was Western, not Southern.. and as for your dog.. I really don't know what you should call her with your Southern theme.. possibly Belle, but I usually stick to the names of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, for instence my cat is Isis like the Egyptian Goddess, the symbol of a loyal wife and mother.

What about Calamity Jane, or Annie Oakley? Or because you're from the south, how about Dallas, Cheyanne or Cowgirl Glory (then you'll have Gus and Glory!)
