After the Superbowl yesterday, when the Coach was asked what it was like to be the first African American coach to win a Superbowl, he responded that it was much more important that everyone know that both he and the Bears Coach are both black - and both used Christianity in their approach to winning the game...

But only one side won. So, does that mean that God is a Colts fan? And, with all the wars, illnessses and starvation on earth - does God really have time to officiate a football game and decide who its victors will be??

God is not a sports fan in the way you and I know of that. But God does have a hand in all human events, even in sports contests. To say that He does not have time to deal with such "triviality" is to say that His infinite power and knowledge is not infinite, but limited. People say that because they cannot understand an Infinite Being. His sovereign hand is in the big questions and issues of life and in the little ones as well.
He weaves an intricate and complex tapestry of events designed to work out for the best for all who love Him, a fact that both Super Bowl coaches acknowledge and embrace.
