There are six men, with two legs each. That's twelve.

Each man has six baskets with six cats in each one - that's six men times six baskets times six cats, times four legs each. Eight hundred and sixty four legs.

Each cat has six kittens. That's six men times six baskets times six cats times six kittens times four legs. Five thousand, one hundred and eighty four legs.

Added together - 12 + 864 + 5184 = six thousand and sixty legs.

6060
6 men x 2 legs = 12
6 x 6 baskets
6 x 6 x 6 cats x 4 legs = 864
6 x 6 x 6 x 6 kittens x 4 legs = 5184
12 + 864 + 5184 = 6060 legs
