Sounds like strep throat to me but they're normally more white in color. Better go have a test done.

It could Be Strep throat... See a doctor... they will give you antibiotics and it will clear up in about a week... but if you don't see a doctor... it could worsen and travel down the esophagus and swell the airway and you could potentially die...
