I've heard that before. Are you sure there is a big difference.
If the difference is small, it may not mean much. How do you know it isn't an urban legend? If 1 in 500 dentists commits suicide and 1 in 520 psychiatrists commits suicide, the difference is not enough to be significant. If there is a big difference, it's probably related to the human mouth.
If I were a dentist, I would confine my practice to hot women.
Might be difficult. How would that look in your yellow pages ad?
"Practice confined to highly attractive young women".

Because everyone hates going to a dentist, and the dentists know this.
Despite the fact that the dentist really wants to help, even when they do, it causes a certain amount of pain. No one likes pain so they hate going to the dentist.
In my opinion, most of the time, people are responsible for the pain themselves. If they'd only brush their teeth, even once a day, that would solve most the the problems.
No I'm not a dentist. LOL

That's a bit of an urban myth. It came from a Swedish study using a small sample size, making its conclusions irrelevant. Think about it. The percentage of people who commit suicide in Sweden in a year is very small. Out of that group the percentage who are dentists will be infinitesimal. And the study concluded based on that very small sample that dentistry is the most suicide-prone profession. It's pretty much a nonsense study.

Because they have no one to talk at work with their patients mouths full of junk. They also probably have a high rate of divorce with their wives accusing them of cheating with those hygienist. Maybe they also self-prescribe on pain pills.
