Hi folks I was just wondering if it is possible to scan a paper and modify it. The reason I'm asking is because I have been working on my research paper and I want to scan some articles an upload them into my to power point presentation but there are several picture that are on the way that I don't want or need.

If all you need is the text, use the OCR feature of your software or word processor.

Yes. When you scan a document, you are actually making an image of the paper. Almost any image editor should do it.
