aahh yes I have witnessed my dog 'hitching up' with other dogs (male, female...it didn't matter) until someone explained the whole concept.

The concept? Well it's already been explained really well so I won't re-articulate it. Basically the whole dominance thing, male on male trying to become the dominant. It's a guy thing, the whole raging testosterone. Females do it too for the same reason (the dominant issue, not the testosterone...)

It may also be because you took too long to cut your dog's balls off. Meaning you took too long to neuter your dog. You can also see it if your dog lifts his leg up to pee (again a dominance issue). I read that if you neuter a dog early then he will squat like a female dog and its the same with humping [which is the correct term].

Oh and the previously reccomended squirt bottle is fun [I must cruelly admit] but the only reaction is that your dog is going to start running away from you whenever you bring a bottle out. (how do I know this, you ask?: experience)

It's normal.. they're trying more to establish dominance over each other. Even female dogs do it to each other.... it's a weird sight. You can tell them no and/or use a spray bottle with water to squirt them, just to get their attention and make them stop.

It is a dominance thing that all dogs do. Unless they're fighting to the point that one is getting hurt, leave them be. They'll work it out soon

It's a way of the one dog telling the other who is the boss: females do it as well. My 3 y/o female beagle humped my mother-in-law, now that B**** knows who's boss at my house, NOT HER!! lol. If it really bothers you, disapline it, but theres nothing to worry about

"hictihg"" i am not sure what that means,, but if you mean that one dog is humping the other dog,,, it means that the one on top is the dominant dog,,, nothing to do with sex..... best solution ---NEUTER BOTH

OK.. That is not normal.. I would spray them with the water hose.. That should do the trick after a few tries..
