Depression is a state of mind......you chose to be depressed!
Having said that, I think you have the power within you to control your mind and action!
Just believe that you can! You'll see what I mean. :-) ....SMILE!

1. Try writing. Try to express your feelings in some constructive way. I have personally found it to be great therapy.
2. Get outside, if possible.
3. Don't get drunk. Alcohol is a depressant and self-medicating this way will only further your problem.
4. Talk to the people you trust about what's bothering you. Sometimes the best cure is to be open, while it might be tough.
5. If your depression is serious, get professional help.
6. Find a new hobby that takes your mind off what is pulling you down.
7. Smile at a stranger.

Good luck!

Stress Management is the only answer.
There are three broad classifications of stress
Situational Stress
Instantaneous stress
Time Stress
You appear to be under situational stress.
Under stress different people exhibit different traits. Control your emotions and behaviour. Remain cheerful. Learn stress management techniques. Stay in Present on going moments. Enjoy present moments as these are the only moments which we are living not past moments or futur moments and be cheer ful always

Find something that interests you...like a hobby. My daughter got really into art, (painting, ceramics, drawing). When she is having a hard time this seems to help her alot. She battles with anxiety and depression so art gave her a great outlet to get all her frustrations out. She has written some really wonderful (but very dark) poems when she is depressed. She started winning awards for her painting and pottery.
I hope that you can find something that will help ease your stress.
Finding someone that you can talk to will also help.
Good luck!

If you have a leadership personality -

Well, you will never let your parents have it their way. You will fight all the way and could finally end up losing lot more in the bargain.

Your current infrastructure cannot be remade. Let your parents have it their way. You are having bad days anyway and it will be the same either way. If you back off now, your future will be better

you can think about the starving kids dying from malaria in nigeria who don't have any parents because they died either from AIDS or from some warlord's killing rampage. You know, the ones who can't move because they haven't eat in weeks, are covered in flies and are just waiting to die...

You know...the ones who are having a lot of bad days.

I wish people would realize how fortunate they are. It's easy to overlook the little things in life that make it as good as it does. Whenever it's bad, someone else always has it worse...believe me.

Express yourself in healthy ways. Talk to your friends. Write poetry or stories. Exercise. Spend time outdoors. Many people's moods can be affected by the lack of sunlight they get in the winter time. (It is know as seasonal affective disorder) So try to do things outside if you can.

Try to focus your thoughts on something more positive. Join a group, or help around the house so that your folks might be more appreciative of you. Communicate with them, tell them how you're feeling.
