My parents are going through it right now, watching us three girls leave. It has been hard for my mom because she and I are very close. I have my parents over every other Sunday for dinner so we can catch up, and I also call my mom every now and then during the week to see how she's doing. My fiance and I make it a point to stop by whenever we're in town, and every now and then we manage to get tickets to go to a concert or something together (this weekend we had a Superbowl part; my mom and I gathered recipes during the week and then cooked together). Stay in touch, stay busy, and be proud of your children for making their own lives. You can rest easy knowing that you were successful at raising independent children.

I already have gone through the empty nest syndrome. I thought it would be okay, no big deal. But I missed my son when he moved out. He is fine and I'm glad he is living his own life. But I still miss my little boy sometimes. I think it's natural.

I almost seriously answered this question until I saw it's in the Birds section.

No.. They have to move out sometime.. That gives you and your spouse time to spend/enjoy with each other..
