I honestly think that comment was just a general statement to all the whiners out there. Lutter didn't complain after the fight. He actually had very little to say and I think it's because he was just so embarrassed. Especially since A) the entire world got to watch him waste away a world title shot simply due to pure laziness. And B) Had he just made weight to begin with, he wouldn't have been in the weakened state he was in, and it's safe to say that he would have beaten Silva. When he got the mount, he just didn't have the gas to rain down any punches that were worth anything and if he was on his a-game, he might have even gotten that armbar he was going for.

Don't know if Silva was alluding to Lutter but i know Travis did not show up at the post fight interview. I think Silva is one of those cats who can win humbly and lose graciously.

Everyone built this up to be that Lutter's ground game is far superior than Silva's. When you lose like Lutter on a submission hold or tap out due to a submission, it is quite disheartening.

Silva was probably still mad that Lutter didn't make weight. He was pissed and insulted when Lutter weighed in at 189 thus causing the fight to be a non-title 3 round bout instead of a title fight. Silva felt that Lutter disrespected him, the title, and the fans that it wasn't important enough for him to mentally and physically prepare for it.

Silva had knee surgery on both knees 11 weeks before the fight, and he still went into the octagon not fully recovered. Then you have Lutter who knew when and where the fight would be, and comes to it 2lbs overweight. They give him a couple hours to go burn off the weight, and he he comes back only a half pound lighter too. If I was Silva I'd be pissed too.

Lutter is a poor example of a UFC fighter. Not making weight is a disgrace and I hope UFC bans him from participating again for not making weight in a championship fight.
