i am 5'9 19 years old 170 pounds i do 60 minutes of cardio a day and lift heavy weights shouldint i be loseing weight

Fat weighs less than muscle. Who knew?

Simple, if you are working out a lot and you are leaning up then muscle ways more than fat so you will actually weigh the same or in fact more if you are lifting heavy weights. If you want to drop more weight try more cardio and more reps with lighter weights until you are at the weight you desire and then you can afford to put on that extra muscle without gaining extra weight.

Muscle weighs more than Fat - Cardio reduces fat and drops pounds. Cardio + heavy weight training can actually increase weight but drop body fat as muscle also helps to shred fat from your body and speed metabolism.

Because muscle contains water for metabolic reactions, muscle weight is greater than fat weight.

muscle weighs more than fat, as you get more "ripped" you may gain more weight. Best way to tell if you are losing fat is to have your body fat % measured.

Because muscle weighs more than fat. You are losing fat and gaining muscle... so you weigh more- but look better and are more fit (less body fat) . Good job! ;)

When you exercise you loose fat and gain muscle. However, muscle weighs more than fat.
