Religion questions to ask?
i am doing a project for school on Islam and need to interview people. Can you think of any good questions i can ask?
i'm agnostic, hence my problem. i've made a list, but i need over 20 questions and im not religious at all so i dont even know where to begin asking somebody about their own religion. its a pretty in-depth class...
the boy i'm asking is a pretty good friend of mine, so i don't have to worry about being 'decent and non-intrusive', but i don't want to sound ignorant.
i've read the qu'ran, so don't tell me to do that.

i am not asking others to do my homework, i am simply asking for any out-of-the box questions that might spark curiosity since i simply don't believe in religion.

Two questions come to mind (and they could be asked of Christians as well).

I would ask him if he feels he is permitted to interpret the qu'ran for himself with the help of the interpretations of others or does he feel he has to follow a particular set of interpretations.

I would ask him if he feels the divisions within Islam still have theological relevance to him.

I converted to Hinduism, and as i'm no longer Indian nor stay in India, i think i'm no longer of the norm and are extra of a minority :-( i would not say i've got been discriminated against yet I even have been regarded down upon simply by fact of my being a Hindu. i do no longer understand why. White people convert to Judaism and Islam and there is not any longer a fuss....why is it this variety of enormous manage Hinduism? i became right into a former Catholic and that i do no longer in all probability have any puzzling thoughts in direction of that faith or the different, different than whilst they attempt to push their ideals onto you.

Then poll your fellow students and ask them what they want to know about various religions and formulate your questions from that. Asking others to do your homework for you is unethical.
