Vaginal farts or “varts” can be embarrassing! The more normal name for them actually is “queef”. They are quite common especially after particularly vigorous lovemaking and some positions are more prone to creating them than others. These varts occur when air gets into the vagina during arousal, penetration, and even exercise. Yes, you will hear them in a good yoga workout too!

During arousal, the vagina lengthens and the uterus moves, creating more air space. Usually "fart" occurs when the walls of the vagina and uterus return to their unaroused positions. Extra lube may make the difference but not much. You also may want to stay away from certain positions for a while, to spare her the embarrassment. Although one should not be embarrassed by an ordinary bodily function. Any gas produced is completely odorless. If she is embarrassed, doing regular kegels will strengthen these internal organs and perhaps help a wee bit.

Really people, sex is messy. Nothing about it is clean or neat. We're talking about fumbling bodies and bodily fluids mashing together under the deep thrall of passion and need. MMMM sounds like a vart or two is a small price to pay for such a good time!

Well sometimes when the penis goes in, so does air. Then when the penis goes out, the air is pushed out too and it makes a sound. Lots of people call it a queef. It doesn't happen to call women, but for those who do queef usually only have it in certain positions where the vagina opens up more and lets in more air.

Air and dryness - spend more time getting ready and this will be a non-issue.
