If I needed nursing home care and most of my assets are In IRA's but still below the limits, and my husband is still alive and independent would medicaid use them for my care.

I think you have to be really broke to qualify for Medicaid. So, when you apply for medicaid, your investments may be a factor to decide whether you qualify for medicaid or not.

I don't see how U could possible be below Medicaid limits. I'm having a hard tome with the Medicare Limits too. I have friends & I am too on disability, they R making as low as 5-600 per month, they still qualified 4 Medicare. Medicaid U can get if U have NOTHING. I'm afraid U have some facts mixed up. If U need help understanding this better, go to http://www.socialsecurity.gov/. u can get answers 2 what Ur confused on. I hope this helps or gives U something 2 think about.
