Ok- well I'm getting married in a little less than 2 months. My fiance plans adopting daughter (she's still a baby). Firstly- do I have to wait until we are married, or can I submit the papers once we have our marriage license? Next- were do I go to get the adoption papers?
Finally- I do not really know who the father of my baby is- so her birth certificate states unknown. Will that phase as a problem in having her adopted?

I've heard that in PA if the father is listed as unknown- then it should be really easy for the process since there is not a father to object or anything. true or not?

If the father were listed he would have to approve, but with none listed it is a piece of cake and you just have to pay to have the paperwork filed. As the only listed parent your permission is all that is needed and you can start the process now.

you listed unknown so that's a non issue. Once you have the marriage certificate, you are married. The wedding is for family and friends to join in your celebration of love. You should be able to start paperwork as soon as you get the certificate. The one the preacher signs is a memory item, not a legal document.

Where the babies father is unknown it should go easier. No father to object. I personally would wait until after you are married. I would say start with an attorney. You want to make sure everything is legal. Good luck.

if the father is listed as unknown its easier you dont have to go thru the hassle of having the father sign his consent to the adoption.. i'm not sure where to go but i think its thru domestic relations in your county.. you can certainly call the domestic relations office where you live and they should be able to tell you. i think you have to wait till you're married though to make it a little easier to go thru, not sure if they'll do it without you being married first

Wait, so which you cheated on your spouse, have been given yet another lady pregnant and now you are attempting to get your spouse to undertake the recent infant and your lady chum is prepared to grant the newborn up like that? feels like an episode of Jerry Springer to me. suited suggestion? shop your dick on your pants and stay user-friendly to your spouse! if your spouse will undertake her then you definately can accomplish that and not using a attorney if the newborn's mom is prepared to sign over her rights.
