All religions and philosophy preach and teach that love is the ultimate quality there could ever be in terms of morality, and yet these very religions and schools of thoughts cannot use that ultimate quality for unity with one another for the sake of that same love.

My question is: what do you think would happen if all religions of the world gather in unity for the sake of that love they all preach and teach about and really show love for one another?

I mean let's say the world decides to leave behind their religious and philosophical differences for one complete month for the sake of this love and REALLY care for one another on this planet by bringing balance between rich and poor, enjoyment and suffering, happiness and sadness and see what happens as a result of this global and yet divine movement

- Do you think it's feasible or not, give reasons in any case.

- If feasible, what would result of this great global movement for the sake of mankind as a whole?

thank you.

Here's why it won't happen: Leaders and people in power benifit when people harbor fear, hatred, and parinoia. The media always goes along with it, mainly because the sensational sells.

There's always an "enemy" to be saved from. Even churches go along with it because the emotion generated also generates donations.

It's all about greed and power. When you can eliminate that, your plan might be feasable.

You ask this like all religious people around the world are constantly killing each other because of their beliefs. Guess what? That's not true, except for Islamic terrorists right now. I haven't heard of any Hindu suicide bombers. There are not 2 billion Christians killing in the name of God. There are however many Christians, I wouldn't be so ignorant as to say 2 billion, and other religious people that give of their time and money to help anyone who needs it. I have no doubt that people with no faith are doing what they can also. Can we do better? Absolutely, but I don't see how that will ever happen globally. We can only be responsible for our own actions.

May God Bless you.

You have the right idea for a united world, but if you force people to love, you become a dictator and people will rebel. Jesus is teaching people now how to show love and he will save them and start a new world order with such ones.

Daniel 2:44.....And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;

so if you want to be part of that kingdom, you must start showing love, even in this loveless world.

I've never head anything so daft in all my life. There are different religions because each sect has different beleifs. Some religions even worship different Gods - so how could they all come together. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and the sooner that people realise that it is the same freedom which permits their beliefs, permits other theirs that everyone can start to get along.

The will to power will not let it happen, man kind will never be a whole, every man is an island no matter what anybody says, every single human has a their own unique perspective view of everything, one mans junk is another mans treasure. And no religion or group of religions will change that.

That is the ultimate purpose of all Christs (Mithra, Krishna, Jesus, Buddha, etc). It is also what Jesus was talking about when he said the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. The Gospel of Thomas states that the Kingdom of Heaven is not in the sky or the birds will beat you there, and the Kingdom of Heaven is not in the Sea or the fish will beat you there. The Kingdom of Heaven is within you, and it is all around you. Jesus says that the Kingdom of Heaven is already here, but we refuse to see it.

The Kingdom of Heaven is not some external place, it is ours here and now if we practice what all Christs taught- Love.

I think we should exist as separate churches, but that instead of bashing each other we should care about and act with love towards each other. We are seaparte entities with separate beliefs. But we should all do the best we can to live up to our teachings.

For mankind as a whole to unite they would have to unanimously agree with one another that the other was greater than each.

It would not be feasible for the Christian for his this "love" comes from God and is objective, whereas all others come from men and is subjective. Because men are corrupt, they cannot "love" without God for he is the measure of all things, not men. All that he does, the feeding of the poor and strides toward global peace are not according to this "love."
