What I mean by push you around is, snatching you out of the car, putting you in cuffs, and holding you in their car. While they wait for an all clear from the station? Then when their finished, they uncuff you and send you on your way without and explination.

I believe that many cops were those who were picked on in school and are now getting back on those who did or did not pick on them.

In other words they have great insecurity problems and massive chips on their shoulders

Or they are just common street thugs that now wear a badge.

I'm not going to say either way, however, I want you to put yourself in the cops place. Cops are getting gunned down everyday doing normal traffic stops. You see it in the papers daily. Now suppose you're a cop pulling somebody over, you have no idea what to expect when you get out of your car. You have never seen that person before in your life. He may be the local minister, or the next Ted Bundy. You are working alone, you have very uneasy feelings about this person, will they point a gun at you and shoot you when you get to their window? You don't know, so you have to put them in a controlled area where you won't have to worry about them. It's not fun doing that, but it has to be done for your protection, his protection, and the protection of all the people. Remember this, he is not pulling you over for a game, it's the real thing, and I know when I get pulled over, I want to make sure that cop is comfortable around me, I don't want to give him any reason to have to go defensive. And if you are wondering, no, I'm not a cop.

I suppose it is, but then my thing is that, if you find out that a person is not who you thought they were, you need to apologize to them for all the pushing and man-handling you put them through!

It is wrong and it should NOT be okay, DAMN IT!!! Personally, I think the police get away with too much under the guise of their uniform.

No, its not acceptable. We should have a full explanation for what is going on. I also don't believe that police should be aloud to laugh or swear at you either. What happened to the people who keep us safe??

That all sounds legal to me. They stop you, they suspect you, they cuff you, and hold you. None of that is beyond the power that we give to law enforcemen.

Unless they have orders from HQ; No, however cops are given more power to do more to protect people from potential dangers or people.

That's all i got to say on that matter!

depends on who you're asking. if you're asking our government or law enforcement officials, then the answer is an emphatic 'yes'. if you're asking anyone that actually possesses any common sense, respect for our country's constitution and/or fellow countrymen/human being, or that is secure and intelligent enough to be anything other than a cop, then no, it's not ok.

Now I know that they are the authorities, but they have no right to shove you around and then not give an explanation of to why they did this....

No it's not, but they do it anyway. If you complain, then they act as if you're just another black american complaining about nothing. I wonder how many white men get treated this way without a huge lawsuit and damages paid to him?

I hate it when that happens.
Yes, they're just making sure we're not the bad guys. Too bad they can't apologize, guess that'd make 'em look soft.
