Nowhere does Scripture explicitly state that animals do not have souls...There is nothing in Scripture I know of that would preclude the possibility of animals' continued existence...The Bible does give us some reason to hope that departed animals will be restored. We read in the Bible that redemption is a cosmic matter. The whole creation is destined to be redeemed through the work of Christ (Romans 8:21), and we see the images of what heaven will be like; beautiful passages of Scripture tell us about the lion and lamb and other animals being at peace with one another.(Isaiah 11:6-8). Whenever heaven is described, though it may be in highly imaginative language, it is a place where animals seem to be present. Whether these are animals newly created for the new heavens and the new earth, or they are the redeemed souls of our pets that have perished, we can't know for sure.

Probably depends on the religion. I don't think all religions agree. Some religions believe animals are gods and therefore people worship them. Others believe they are dirty and therefore would say that they don't.

I don't think there is a set answer to this question, nor do I think animals have the capacity to care whether there is a heaven or another life after this one - that is one of the many things that set human apart from animal.

And, when humans act like animals - by murdering and stealing and raping, etc...I would guess they don't get to heaven.

No one knows. But the Bible is clear that there are animals in heaven. Jesus will return on a white horse. The lamb and the wolf lay together and the wolf won't eat the lamb. In the Old Testament when God blessed someone, He blessed their household and their livestock. A man's animals were considered a part of his household. In the New Testament it says that the gift of salvation is for a you and your household. So perhaps our animals are under the covering of the Lord by faith, but we know they have a spirit but not a soul.

Who knows? To some people (not me) an animal is just an animal and is like an object to them. Some people think that an animal has no soul and therefore does not go to heaven. I don't really believe in heaven anyway.

I hope you aren't thinking Heaven is this cloudy place with Angels in white floating around playing harps or something... I mean i haven't yet been but I tell ya, I believe it is going to be seting much different! I wonder why you are curious about your animal? God made them to serve their purpose which was with you so it could be a possibility that your pet heads to the other side.:)

Heavens is place or abode for comparatively developed souls of human beings. The souls of animals are different from human souls;you can say comparatively lesser in the quality to excel, whereas the human souls have the capability to excel and sustain and carry out the responsibilities in the heavens.

When I asked a priest that same exact question, he said that pets go to a different heaven, like a pet heaven. I don't believe him and neither does my teacher. We envision Heaven as a place where both people and animals live happily together.

In Judaism, Christianity and in Islam only humans have soul. so animals don't go to heaven. In Hinduism and Buddhism everybody has soul but only humans can perform good acts and earn the credit to go to heaven. so again animals don't go to heaven. personally I believe there is no Heaven.

It depends what your religion says. Other religions believe that animals have souls therefore they go to heaven. Other religions, like Christianity say that animals don't have a soul so when they die they simply vanish/

I was told once by my priest that they do not because they have no soul. But I'm thinking, when everything has been said and done (after the judgment day) God will give us all that we need. If that includes His loving animals then they will be there.
