how come heaven seems so special, when all these christians are apparently going there...?

if every christian is "building treasures" in heaven, then what good are the treasures? the more u have of something, the less its value becomes.

what are the rewards anyway? why do we need treasures in heaven? what are the treasures?

Biblically speaking, treasures are cherishable things, not consumable things. We on earth percieve 'treasure' as money and gold, material objects, etc, but the heavenly treasures will be so much better.

The whole point is that we are not worthy of going. God is perfect; we just aren't. Therefore, we need a savior to be 'clothed in righteousness' and enter heaven.

Our finite minds don't understand it. I know it's gonna be awesome. If God has ordained and planned my life on Earth like this, I can only imagine how amazing it will be in paradise.

All of heaven throws a party when one person gets saved. One!

Lots of parties... Eternal joy and peace.. No pain, no loss.

It sounds awesome.

And to think: I don't deserve it, but God gave it to me as a gift just because he loved me.

He died for me, so I'm going to live for him

The Bible also says that "The Dead Know Nothing", so...what's the point of Heaven if apparently the dead don't know they're there?

Ghost, we're not gonna be dead in heaven!

We are alive in Christ!

I do not know exactly what the treasures you are talking about are. I am a Christian, I do not pay particular attention to the Bible, it is just a guide after all...

Heaven is special because it is supposed to be the best thing ever. It is the reward for people who loved and believed in a God... that is all. It is paradise.... I guess this is a bad answer, but that is the best I can do... Hope it helps :)

Rewards aren't something physical like that. Treasures are learning, love, etc. The more love you have, I can tell you right now, that doesn't decrease the value but increases it. The treasures we build are the people we become. THAT is what treasures in heaven are.

I don't think that the word "treasures" should be taken literally in this situation...But you do have a point. I really don't know why Heaven is so special.

The Bible also says that "The Dead Know Nothing", so...what's the point of Heaven if apparently the dead don't know they're there?

First let me say our reward IS HEAVEN. Yes God will give rewards and judge each accordingly and I cannot say what the rewards will be except every single person who loves Jesus so much, will know that HE is their reward. We will cast our crowns at HIS feet- and give HIM the glory. Do you realize that as a christian, I want God to have the glory and not myself? That I want to put Him before myself? There is a lot we do not know about Heaven, except that it is perfect and everything good is made a billion times better- but our minds be changed and our bodies....so humanly thinking now- it is hard to understand or imagine. But it's exciting to me- just to know I get to see Christ face to face and be in His presence for eternity. HE is my treasure! Everything you own will perish---but life with Christ is eternal- why put faith in "things" here on earth? They will all pass away, but the word of The Lord remains!

These treasures are eternal. Treasures here on earth are temporal in nature. (Let's face it. When you die here on Earth, you can't take anything with you to the grave. You can be buried with items, but you cannot take them with you into the afterlife.)

The treasures in Heaven are in the afterlife - therefore they are eternal.

As to what they are specifically, we won't know until we get there.

The Bible says that no eye has seen, nor ear heard of the things that God has for those that love Him.

Last night we watched as a football team was rewarded for their hard work and dedication in winning the Superbowl. We see doctors, lawyers and many others place their certificates and achievements up on the walls of their offices. All these rewards are proof of their commitment to a cause, a dream or goal, something to be proud of. God wants us to have rewards to show us that He is proud of us if we commit our lives to Him.

The Almighty YHVH created this world very good. Once man sinned, he could no longer meet the requirements of YHVH. Because of His great love for man, He sent His son the Savior. The Savior's name means YHVH is my Savior!--YAHOSHUA! The only way one can have his sins taken care of is to invite the Savior in to carry them. If a person chooses to remain attached to their sins, they will be consumed in the cleansing fire the Almighty will send to cleanse this world so He can make it new! How could the Almighty be more generous?

Sorry, but the reward is the same for all who are faithful servants of the Lord.

Matthew 20
14Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. 15Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? 16So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
