I throw shotput and discus and lift a lot of weights so I don't know if that has something to do with it.

The popping noise you are hearing isn't cavitation, like when you pop your knuckles. It is the tendon of the supraspinatus being pinched between your humoris and the olecranon process of the scapula. While it isn't good for the tendon, and can damage it, the popping itself poses no serious risk. Just try to take it easy on the throwing. Also throwing to the side vs over the top is better for it.

mine do to its probauly just normal but if its hurting u should go to the doc
