NEVER DO THAT! never date your friends ex's because it cause's nothing but problems i know because my b/f broke up with me and my best friend went out with him and it just...trust me i still loved him and she knew that but she went with him anyways . So we are not friends anymore.

In a weird way i went through this same thing...my best friend dated this girl...we were basically brothers..i mean thats how everyone knew us was brothers...and he and this girl broke up. So one night we all hung out and i noticed she was flirting with me...and then i noticed i was flirting back...but to answer your question...the first thing i did...was have a heart to heart with my friend about it...i laid everything out there for him...there was still some friction there at the beginning of the relationship but just the fact that i talked to him about it showed that i did respect him and it smoothed out soon..so yeah its okay...but talk to your friend first and see how she feels about it...

Its fine. She doesnt own the guy, and its not like hes not fair game now. If you like him then go for it, but if you dont really care too much about him then its up to you. If she broke up with him then thats even more reason to say yes because she obviously doesnt want him.

The excat same thing happened to me...15 days ago.
He broke up with her, then a few weeks later he asked me out.
But I guess it's not EXCATLY the same cause my friend sort of helped us get together...
But he asked me out, I said yes, and she was mad for a little bit, but she got over it and said it was ok.
Now were better friends then we were before.
I say you go for it.
