depends on their actual ages.... 30 and 40 is fine, but 15 and 25 is definitely not.

I don't think a guy is very old if he is ten years older than a girl. This can be a normative statement but it's said that a guy is three years younger than a girl of the same age( I mean mentally). And usually a girl needs more emotional support than a guy, which he is only able (well true in most cases) to provide if he is older than the girl.
A gap of five or seven years is considered appropriate but ten years sounds cool.

Good luck.

as hypocritical and weird as it may seem...it really depends on the age of the people involved.
my dad and step-mom are 12 years apart, and it works out just fine.
however...i'm 20, and i could NEVER see myself with a 30 year old, just because there is so much living & maturing to do between those 10 years.
there definitely isn't some magic age when an age gap doesn't matter. it really does depend on the maturity and mentality of the people involved. but if you are young (i.e. under...say, 30 or so), i would just be careful about getting involved with a guy that is significantly older than you are....just be sure that he's a good man, and doesn't have any twisted, alternitive motives.

It depends. Are we talking 16 and 26, or are we talking 40 and 50. There is a huge difference when one of the individuals is not an adult (don't tell me how mature they are). Even 20 and 30 is hard because they both usually want very different things. 30 is ready for kids and house and the 20 can't even buy beer. It's a case by case situation, but one that should be entered into with both eyes open.

well unfortunately, this world is very judgemental. It depends on the both of you. If you can both accept that people will talk about it sometimes in a negative way, then by all means go for it. If you cant or if you only can for a short period of time, then you're setting yourself up to get hurt. Also in my opinion it depends on your ages, like if you're 15 and he's 25 its a problem, legally and morally. But if youre 25 and he's 35, no big deal.

i agree with many ppl that have already answered u. it depends on your age. if u are 20 or older then i dont think him being 10 years older is a big deal but if u are under 20 then yes i do think it is too old for u

How old is the woman. To me 18 vs 28 is an inappropriate age difference. 34 vs 44 isn't too old in my opinion. At that point Both parties have life experience and can contribute on the same level.

It all has to do with maturity. If you can handle a relationship with a man who is 10 years older than you, that's good. Make sure that you both want the same things from life.

a 25 and 35 year old I don't see a problem if the girl is mature, but 16 and 26 is nasty

I do not think that 10 years older is too old in every case. However asking this question signals that you find it to be a problem in your particular case. Do what is right for yourself.

As long as the girl is atleast 20, it's certainly not to old. To think otherwise is foolish.

While young men may think they are better, they aren't really and are rather inexperienced in every category and normally are penniless most of the time LOL
