I have recently bleached my hair to platinum, after a week or two my hair started looking brittle, frizzy, and dry. I have seen other people who have platinum hair and their's doesn't look damaged at all. I hear that there is some purple hair toner product or something that takes the brassyness out, would this product help with the frizzyness? Or are there better products out there? I am willing to pay for a good product, but I am so lost. Please help!

I do not do my hair myself, I go to the salon and have it done by a professional! That's what they're for.

Hi, The purple shampoo is used to conteract orange tones from the hair. It will not do anything to calm the frizziness. The best thing to do is to by a really good treat which you can use on the hair. Some good ones out there are Redken and CPR Treatments. Apply the treatment after washing your hair and leave it for about 20 mins. Do it for at least two weeks before starting to style. Avoid blow drying your hair for about two weeks as you could have breakages. Your hair is feeling like this now because to go blonde we have to use bleach. It does not deposit colour it strips your natural colour to achieve the blonde. So this means your hair is much finer then it was before. It is in shock mood now but i promise if you treat it well with a good treatment you will have beautiful hair in just a couple of weeks. :) ENJOY!

Yes, purple shampoo for blondes will help.

Consider asking for a clear glaze or cellophane treatment to help seal your hair cuticles.

Joico K-Pak is the best shampoo & conditioner for damaged hair.

Weekly intensive conditioning treatments. (K-Pak conditioner can be used every day or as an intensive conditioner.)

Pantene conditioners are a very good drugstore option.

Avoid heat styling as much as possible.

Towel dry your hair with a super absorbent towel, like Aquis or the one made by The Body Shop to make air drying faster or minimize the time needed for blow drying.

Use a wide tooth comb to comb out your tangles as gently as possible after washing. Your hair is at its most vulnerable when it is wet.

Avoid brushing your hair while it is wet. Partially dry your hair before using a styling brush.

Bed Head, deep conditioners, etc. Best bet is to make an appointment with a professional. I bleached my hair three times over the past summer, and to top it off I straighten it. My hair didn't get too damaged, though.

Why oh why do you girls do this to yourselves?

Doing this at home is SOOO dangerous and harmful to your hair.
(I sincerely hope that a Salon is not responsible for this!).

Bleaching one's hair to platinum is just another descriptive term for burning your hair. You have burnt your hair and you should now do nothing. Nothing at all, except nourish your hair.

I would suggest using Redkin or Aussie to replace some nutrients and drink PLENTY of mineral water.

Best wishes,
Phillipa

.Well i think u should try n go to the professionals cause they can tell wats goin on but i recommend that u look for products that have amino acids, aloe vera those are good replenishing products. Try pantene for damaged hair, loreal, sebastian, but still go to the professionals.

BedHead's product, dum blonde works really well. I personally have dyed blonde hair, and it's really damaged and broken off. My friend recomended the product. I have not tried it yet, but I'm sure it will work. You can get it at any local wal-mart or hair salon. :)

you may need to pay for a good hair dresser to aid you in fixing this. bleaching is very damaging. It's not an easy thing to do on your own without the proper products.
good luck!

Sweetie did you do your hair yourself? If so that may have been the problem! Don't try any more over the counter items, go to the salon and see if they can save it!
