tonight at supper my family and i were talking and my dad mentioned that he didnt sleep good last night because our 2 kittens wanted to sleep in his face he said but i dont know which one it was. Then my mom said" well i know one cat that was on your face". Somehow I dont think she was talking about our kittens. Im 15 and what she said puts a chill down my spine. I just want to know what you think about it and if you have any stories so I know my parents arent the only ones

I've been on both sides of this issue, and neither side is comfy. I walked in on my parents & caused a great deal of embarrassment for all of us. Then my daughter did the same to her daddy & i. My daughter is now 18, and still gets red faced when she even "thinks" that a comment or jesture of ours in any way relates to us being intimate. The lesson to be learned here, is that you realize how difficult it is for you to "think of your parents being intimate", then it's easy to see why your parents have such a difficult time when their teens become "intimately active". It's this similarity & understanding of feelings that can lead to teens & their parents being much closer & being able to show each other respect & understanding. It's just one of those "red face" topics.....
PS.
My cuz was 3 yrs old when he walked in my aunt/uncle, unnoticed for several minutes, when they did notice him, he was standing at the foot of the bed - with a "clear view" of "how things operate" - crying....scared....b/c mommy was being hurt by daddy. as difficult as that conversation was it was funny in hindsite. Then fastforward many years, my cuz was then in his 30's w/his own family, etc, & came by to see his parents one weekend, unable to get an answer he used his key & entered the house, only to have walked in to another "red face" moment......
(So, it's not just your parents, and it happens at all ages. and it's uncomfy at any age.)

Get over it. Do you like mommy and daddy being happy? They are sexual creatures I know this because you are writing this question. If they were with each other the odds are good they will continue to be with each other and that is a good thing for them and ultimately for you. Let them have their secret jokes and there fun and give them some space.

Every-ones Mom and Dad had sex at least once (yes - even if you are adopted)

They should keep that kind of thing private. It's good they have a good sex life, but you don't talk about it in front of your kids--even if you think they don't understand the "joke". If she ever makes a joke like that again, just look her in the face and say "Mom, that's really inappropriate to say in front of your kids." It should horrify her into being more careful.

Tell your mother that her comment was inappropriate in front of you and embarrassing and you don't want to lose respect for her and your father. She may change her approach to raising a teen. It is important to be able to have this type of honest relationship with her and have your needs met not to have to hear or cope with poor behavior from adult role models. Good luck.

How do you think you got here?!?! You should be happy that you're parents still love eachother and having that "burning desire" to have a "cat on ones face". Trust me, this is a good thing!

Surprise! You mean to say that you never thought that you mom and dad played kissie face and other things? Well, I guess it's time for you to sit down with mom and ask a couple of questions.
Have fun!

Just don't think about it, pretend you didn't hear it. It's a part of life. Next time your mom makes a comment, ask her not to do that, tell her it disturbs you. My parents got divorced when I was very young.

My parents' bed is very very squeaky. One night i heard alot of squeaking coming from their room and, well, you can do the math. Your story is pretty humorous too.

I have walked in on mine a ton of times. Now I have a 12yr old son and he has walked in on me. It is one of the circles of life. I know it is grose though.
