im single and valentines day is just around the corner. what should i do? I don't want to be the only one without a valentine. help!!!

V day is so overrated. Don't get caught up in the commercialism. It's just another day. Spend the day spoiling yourself or something. Maybe hang out with other single friends. Just don't feel sorry for yourself. It's not worth it.
By the way, the day was named after a priest named "Saint Valentine." He lived in the Roman empire and was imprisoned for secretly marrying couples. Several of them left him notes and flowers while he was jailed, thanking him for marrying them. Even one of the guards' daughters befriended him and on the day of his execution (Feb. 14th) he wrote her a note thanking her for their friendship and signed it "from your valentine." He was then beheaded. Romantic huh?

Yeah, I hate V-day b/c I'm single too. I'll probably go to school like I do every M, W, and F, and then go to church Wed Night, then come home and watch LOST! I love LOST! I wish Kate would be my Valentine!

think about all of the couples who are not doing too well who have to go through this day. I bet quite a few of them are wishing they were you. just have some fun that day if it really bothers you. take the day off and do something really physical so when evening comes around all you will want to do is sleep...not sit through some hokey dinner cuz society says you have to.

Just pass valentines day like the regular day, take it easy! Everything becomes simply. Don't admire the couples, someday you will being in couple.

Gather with a Bunch of your single friends, get chocolate and fun food, find excellent movies, ( Strong woman or man hating ones if you want, or just fun) and have a great time. It's a great day regaurdless of whether you have someone or not.

I guess find a friend and go out for supper and see a movie. I am in the same boat. That is the only thing I could think of that wont bum me out. Hope this helps.

In St. Louis, there is a party at a club every year called the "bitter babes bash". That could be fun if something like that exists in your town or city.
If you are "of age" for that kind of thing that is.

It's just another day, so try not to get worked up over it. Just order out a nice meal and watch American Idol. Light some scented candles and pamper yourself.
