my boyfriend of 5 years wrote a song for me and played it on the guitar and it was so sweet and heartfelt and i feel like i can't do anything that will be as good as that.......i just feel like i cant give him anything good enough to show him how much he means to me!! any ideas?

write him a poem telling him how you feel about him, or make him a mixed cd of love songs that you know he likes or think he will like! cook him a nice romantic candlelight dinner! kiss him and tell him how much he means to you!

well you can bake brownies or cookies and write personalized messages on them... and not that you have much time now but you could have saved up "love is" cut outs and taped them together and cover with clear red wrap for the box...
I have always noticed that my most meaningful gifts have been the cheapest...

If you can cook, make him an incredible meal.... serve it to him wearing something very sexy,maybe some red high heels, and whatver else - either that or a best buy gift card!

I usually end up getting my boyfriend somemthing useful, he is really into SF baseball caps, so when i see a special edition one i usually get it for special occations. I have also gotten him outfits, shoe/hat/shirt that all match and he gets so excited to wear them and then he always gets compliments. When i was in amsterdam i bought him a small diamond to put in a stud (he has his ear pierced). Or, we go to a spot that has always been "our spot" with our favorite restaurants food "to go" and have a picnic. Its nice to surprise them!!

i think that you should give him a valentines day card and take him out to a date. Either to a restaurant and just have fun with him and i dotn think that given him flowers are the bad to give to him. Just give him something that he will truelly remember.

talk to him, take him out for dinner and ,dressin something good. if you like add a wink to that dressing part, mabie something later that night (if you of legal age to do so).
this will make him happy like you wouldnt beleave

take him to a place that he would enjoy then do the following dinner and after.

nup, valentines day is cheesy, the best presents are the ones you just walk past and go " hey _____ would like that", cheaper is better so that what ever he get you costs more, make us men feel more comfortable.
