You could wear a sweat band on your arm. Ive seen a couple of guys that wear them just to wear them & it doesnt look that bad. They wear them about were your tattoo is & you could wear it during the summer. But your parents are going to find out sooner or later so it would be wise of you to go ahead & tell them now. I hope this helps! Good Luck :)

theres a reason you gotta be 18 to get tattooed. And your "friend" set himself up to get into major trouble as well. Basically, you're screwed. You should've waited 2 more lousy years before getting a tattoo. You cant hide it forever...and thats how long youre going to have it. Maybe you shoulda thought about it a lil better? My advice, move to a colder climate where you can wear long sleeves all year round...
I hope your parents are reasonable people, because if they're not, your friend, and the place that tattooed you, are both going to be in some serious trouble. We're talking serious fines, and possibly prison time. I hope you enjoy that tattoo because when the sh*t hits the fan, It's going to cost you.
k, I just read your additional details and I see the problem here. You're an over privelaged spoiled little brat. Your parents need to quit buying you things and make you work for a living.

wow. doesnt look that great either, you look like youre missing some colour up the top. Point out to your friend that what he did was illegal and could cost "his friends" at the tattoo shop their licenses.
You shouldnt hide it. You should show it to them and apologize.
Your parents obviously want to give you every oportunity, apparently you just want to snub them by disrespecting them and doing this stuff behind their back. By all means get them when you are old enough, but have enough respect for them and their opinions to wait. They should take your car away because you dont deserve it. Better yet play on their sympathies and hand the keys back yourself and tell them that, since you have no trouble going behind their back or breaking the law being a manipulative little twerp cant hurt.

Honestly, the only thing you can do is to keep wearing long sleeves.
You do realize that the person who gave you consent can get in BIG trouble for that, right? I know here in Kansas (I don't know about there) if your parents don't give you consent and you get a tattoo, they can get the parlor and the person who gave you consent in BIG trouble.
Honestly, I would show your parents. It's not like you can hide it from them or people you know (who might run back and tell them) for 2 years until you turn 18.

So stop going behind your parents back ... it seems like they give you material things you want. Why do you need to be rebelious when you could just wait two years and get whatever you want? Oh, and it's illegal to have anyone besides a parent or legal guardian sign for you, good job breaking the law. Tell them and admit that you made a mistake (if yout think so or not they like how it sounds), it might not be as bad as you think if you just fess up to it now and take it ...

okay this may sound crazy but i got a bloody huge tattoo up my arm when i was 16 and my 'rents still dont know..!
this isn't actually advice because if it was someone would shoot me, but i just moved out when i realised what i'd done was completely ridiculous and my parents would've disowned me
but yeah
i would say just tell them, but i can't really talk! when i got my lip pierced i kept mentioning to my parents that i was going to get it done no matter what they say, and then i just came home with it done one day. they were annoyed for a day or two, but as i'd given them a warning they were a little less angry than they could have been

Do what you can to protect your friend and the tat shop. Your parents can get them both in serious trouble and this is really YOUR fault, not theirs. At 16 you know what you're doing... so stand firm and don't tell on your friends! Say that you got it from a friend of a friend at a party or something.......
As far as hiding it, you can purchase a product called DermaBlend. It's a makeup made to cover up scars, etc. You can also do what someone said earlier about the sweat bands. You can expand that into bandanas or something.... Of course, they may think you're in a gang then.

fess up. you have to handle the fall out. what's done is done and it can't be undone. but like i said be prepared for fall out. worse case scenario they get your friend for giving his consent, ground you from ever hanging with this guy again,(i'm not sure if there is any legal action they can take against him or the tattoo studio or not). best case scenario they like it it looks pretty good and they shouldn't be too mad because it's not vulgar or offensive. if your planning to go into the navy, you could tell them that you wanted it for that reason either way since summer is coming, there is only 1 thing you can- do tell them

Tell your parents before they notice it themselves, that way you'll look like you've been trying to hide it and they'll be even more disappointed. Depending on your parents, they may deal with it in different ways. I would tell them as soon as possible, as the longer you hold it out the worse it may be. They may seem fairly pissed off at first, but they'll get over it in due time.

I wouldn't hide that from just your parents, but everyone. Its far to plain and could go for a touch-up.
I don't think you'll be able to hide it for long, one day, they'll figure it out and they'll figure it out soon. Parents aren't stupid, trust me. You shouldn't have done it, and the hiding and shame will serve as your reminder that you are irresponsible and disrespectful to your parents. You really should have waited another two years.
Your friend who gave consent, as well as the shop and your parents could be in trouble.
