I need help finding a Unity Candle?

I am looking for a square monogram unity candle. I have looked in so many websites and they are all nothing compared to what I want......PLEASE HELP!

I don't know if this will help or not but for my wedding we didn't get a unity candle, but a memory candle for my husband's mom. it was impossible to find one so my mom made one. she bought a normal candle in the shape and color she wanted and found a picture of a flower she liked from a magazine. then she printed off a verse on her computer in a font she liked (we added his mom's name and dates on it). we then tore the flower and verse out... it gave it a weathered look... and glued it to the candle she picked out. it ended up being cheaper and meant a lot more to his family since we took the time to make it. i thought she was crazy when she first told me what she was doing (i thought it would look cheap) but it was beautiful! i have pictures of it if you'd like to see them email me at [e-mail].

I've been looking for you and haven't found anything....my advice is that if you are at all crafty is to go to a craft store, buy a square mold and some candle making stuff and make the sqaure candle, THEN buy some rub on monograms and you've got your unity candle thats sqaure and monogrammed to your liking. Use regular taper candles and decorate all three to match eachother.

PS- This adds a very personal touch and will be MUCH cheaper.

can always make your own unity candle.

Making a unity candle yourself is fairly easy. First, obtain a candle you want to use as a base. Some couples opt for plain pillar candles while others opt for glass-enclosed pillars. Some other candles opt for specially sized candles such as globes, squares, hearts, etc. It's always best to get TWO bases just in case you break one or it doesn't turn out the way you'd like.


Once you've obtained the base, you need to make sketches of how you want to decorate your candle. Pearl strings, crystal appliques, and ribbon are popular decorations. Some couples also choose to have verses, quotations, or short poems printed on heavy cardstock and also put on the candle. After you've obtained those items, use a very thin (and light!) pencil mark to remind you where everything should be places. Practice with the item placement at least once before you mark it.

Once things are marked, it's time to put it all together! Permanent, strong-bond glue (such as Krazy Glue) works very well.

Try going to a craft or discount store and look for a square decor candle that suits your taste. You could either use flat back jewels in the shape of your monogram or type your monogram on clear vellum paper and cut to size with a paper trimmer to attach to the candle. To attach the vellum properly, use straight pins to neatly attach the paper onto the candle.

You can probably figure out how to make your own pretty easy and cheap. I would look in to that. There are craft stores everywhere and they are pretty helpful there usually. I made my own and it ended up being exactly what I wanted and WAY cheaper!!!
