and thought it would be an interesting topic to post on here. Here is what the professor asked:

"In recent months there has been a new vaccine created and released by the FDA for use to prevent Human Papilloma Virus which is sexually transmitted and is known to cause at least 80% of cervical cancer in women.
The vaccine must be given to females before they become sexually active in order to be effective. Therefore it is recommended that girls be given the vaccine before they
turn 11 or 12 yrs old.
Just this past week the Texas Governor made an Executive Order that makes it state law that all girls in Texas aged 11 must be vaccinated with Gardasil.
If you had a daughter of this age, and the state mandated that you get her vaccinated, how would you feel about that? What questions would you like to know the answers to before you took her to be vaccinated?"

Some people don't believe in vaccinations and so I don't think it should be the law. I think people should be encouraged and the vaccine should be free if people want it but I am against all this excessive regulation by the state. Other states are talking about banning spanking or banning people from smoking in front of their children and that is just B.S. I am for limited government regulation.

My only question would be: How much of a kick back from Merck is the governor getting per vaccination?
