I think what it comes down to is certain people of certain faiths keep insisting that one faith (namely their own) is more right or better than another faith or a lack of faith. Conversely - people of faith often question others' lack of faith. It's a viscious circle. I agree with you. Faith or belief in anything (or lack of faith or belief) is unique to the individual. If being a certain religion is right for someone and helps them with their own spiritual growth - then it works for them and that's great. If someone chooses not to have any religion and it works for them - that's great, too. It's when others start trying to push their beliefs (or lack thereof) on others that people start arguing. I think the questioning starts out innocently enough (people just trying to understand where eachother are coming from) but it usually degrades into mud-slinging and nastiness.

I think that some are trying to attack on a religious aspect. When faith really is not religion. Then there are those that just want to debate everything but in the end I guess we'll all find the truth!

Why do religious people keep trying to challenge fact with fiction?

You don't want to call it fiction? then use some legitimate scientific method to prove it, until then it remains faith and has no place in the realm of testable hypotheses and proven theories.

It is not the people who question faith the ones who have blurred the line and crossed the two, it is the religious people looking to challenge testable experiments and observations with myth and faith.

You reap what you sow- sound familiar? Thats why people now question people's faith.

What people call faith is NOTHING but CONDITIONING!!!

They are told to believe something and given NO PROOF upon which to base a belief! Which means they are PROGRAMED to accepting an ancient book and a fictional God!

Faith is NOTHING but CONDITIONING / PROGRAMING / BRAINWASHING!! Take your pick all three are far more accurate then FAITH!!

I couldn't agree with you more. I stay away from the subject totally. Everyone has their beliefs and it should really be kept to oneself. It could upset some people on how the questions are asked. I don't what's worse, religion or politics?

not that i would ask in a rude way
but
in order to understand our self and others we must ask questions
we learn from our opposite
this either reinstates our own beliefs or adds or alters them
i dont see this as bad

it is all good. people are searching for their own identity, and their own belief in the universe. hashing it out with others is just an avenue for this.
