I'm trying to lose weight, taking diet pills (Lipo 6) and trying the special K diet but it doesn't seem to be working? I get really shakey while taking the pills. Any suggestions?

Well, I'm 16, 5'9 and 155lbs. Your tall so you aren't fat, your weight matches you fine. Diet pills don't work. Special K doesn't work either because all it does is starve a person, and it's not healthy. Best way is to just work out.

Cardio is your best bet for losing weight. Make sure you weight lift too. It may seem manly, but muscle helps burn fat faster. Plus, it takes your body 15 minutes to warm up. So if you run right away for 45 minutes, you are really running only 30 minutes. Running, biking, and jump roping will help a ton. Make sure to increase these every once in a while.

You could also do ab workouts to strengthen your core muscles. Do a few situps and obliques one day, and the next you could do lower abs and full core. Such as planks and pushups.

Just stay away from trends. None of them work.

You're a really healthy weight and body mass. Stop taking the pills and get some excercise. You don't need to lose poundage, just firm up what you have. The pills are making you shakey because your body doesn't want them. Drink a lot of water and try to implement a little more daily excercise wherever you can.

I am 5'8" and in high school weighed 186. Eight years later I weigh 142 and feel great. I did it by cutting out fattening foods and by exercising. I never took diet pills, did fad diets, or starving myself. The real change came when I started training for an Ironman Triathlon last August. In order to complete the event I had to train by butt off for 9 months... I replaced all my fat with muscle. I know that is an extreme suggestion, but it was a healthy way to lose weight that is guaranteed to work. Bet of luck to you!

I took some of the diet pills, they do have side affects, you should take the pills back where you got them, some of the pills Can give you a heart attack. If you are 5"8 then you are in good health , consult with your physician about losing weight is the safest.

Those diet pills are bad, and you probably do not need to loose any weight...maybe just do a little bit of exercise to tone up a bit. I am 5'10" and weigh 165 lbs, and I never look at it as big or fat...because of the height.....All you need is a little exercise to help out a bit. Something easy is to walk a mile a day. Walking is one of the best cardio exercises for you.

The pills are only going to make you shaky---they aren't going to help you lose weight. They are ALL a scam. Don't believe it when people tell you they work--they are selling them.

You only need to lose about 10-15 lbs. Eat lean protein, vegetables and whole grains. Stay away from the special k.....it's very processed. Get brown rice, whole grain bread. Limit fruit to 2 pieces a day.

Getting really shaky should tell you that you shouldn't be taking those pills.

How about just eating healthy with proper portions and exercising?
