Here's the way I understand it,

A god of good and a god of evil?

Out of chaos was born 2 Deities. One evil, one good. One positive and one negative. But Chaos was neither good nor evil. It was a void. 0 = 1 & 1

Should we really have to choose between the 2, or can we find knowledge from both aspects of nature?

Or could it be that there is no 'good and evil'?

It's only evil and lesser evil?

I personally believe in the principle of polarity. Everything we label good has negative aspects, and everything we label evil has positive aspects. This means, essentially, that good and evil are the same, just different degrees of the same. Personally, I don't label my deities as good or evil. I view them as neutral with both positive and negative aspects.

I'm not a dualist although I can see the attraction. I think nothing is outside God I don't understand how two God's could exist within the divine nature. Evil that I have seen comes from men, not from above so I doubt the existence of an evil God, life is a mystery so dualism is a purely logical response which depends on our logic being perfect

I don't believe in a morality (a.k.a. good vs. evil) that exists "out there" in the world. It's all in our heads. What we call "good" and "evil"...it's just a perspective, a way of looking at things. Sometimes it's useful and sometimes not. It's like a map. All flat maps of the Earth are distorted in some way, because the Earth is round. Morality is like a flat map of Truth. It necessarily distorts Truth because real Truth isn't as simple as good and evil. But like a map, sometimes the distinction is useful. But don't confuse morality with Truth. The Truth is much bigger than we will ever understand.

That's my take.

No, each God (and Goddess) has both "good" and "evil" traits in them, just like humans do. I do not subscribe to dualism at all. There is no such thing as pure good or pure evil, everything is not black and white, everything is shades of gray.

Good & evil exists as pairs of opposites. As does male & female, up & down, etc. This is chaos. Unity is before chaos. The only way unity can reflect it's self is though chaos.

Buddhism eschews the idea of dualism (us vs. them mentality) because it's too extreme and incorrect view. NOTHING is inherently "good" or "evil", nor inherently anything else for that matter. If they were, one would have to be evil or "good" at all times, even when sleeping etc. Wholly illogical.
