well running burns more calories but walking burns more fat than running. try a little bit of both. start by walking then gradually speed it up. it's good to do a little bit of both.

It is better to run but walking beats nothing.You could do a little of both if you like.Alternate between walking a little a running a little.This would help build yor stamina.
