It is conceivable? Not really. I mean, you can never prove by testing hypothesis that there is a creator.
On the otherhand, if you are religious, you can conceveably learn about nature of your god thru understnding the world somewhat.

I learn a lot about God by observing the creation. I continue to be newly amazed every day by some creature or object in the night sky. There is much to consider about the awesome wisdom of the Creator by observing what manner of things do exist and what manner of things do not.
For instance, among so many different studies there is the study of rocks and minerals. You can see a great expanse and depth of more or less plain and ordinary rock material and then here and there in abundance within this blank canvas you find the most amazing treasures. God is like this a lot. He is humble to keep balance and wise to keep the wondrous things hidden, to be searched out. In the canvas of space are abundant treasures without number, multiplied recently by our ability to see beyond the ability of the naked eye into the slower and faster wavelengths. Within the canvas of the sea are also found abundant treasures without number. Some creatures are only now being discovered.
The observation of creation is a very good way to learn about our wonderful Father, the Most High God.

Intelligent Design is as valid as Evolution and should be taught as an alternative in school. We teach "alternative lifestyles" to our youth, but seem to have the blinders on when it comes to evolution. This age of tolerance is so lop-sided in some areas... But to answer your first question:
Science is the study of the physical universe. Spirituality is the study of the metaphysical universe. Can you have both? Yes, but can you devise a "God formula"? No. We can understand many of God's qualities by looking at creation, and no field of science is complete without recognizing the Creator, but He is not something that can be studied empirically.

Observing Him is the only way He can be understood. I wouldn't know how to find Him in a beaker or test tube. lol, God isn't a scientific theory. If 'intelligent design' is God then yes, you should teach that. :D

I once heard that science without religion is incomplete, and religion without science is naive. I truly believe that the two can exist in harmony, without the exclusion of the other.
The bible, taken literally, would exclude any science whatsoever. But that is where the naivete would come in. It is impossible to view the evolutionary diagrams without seeing the physical evolution of man as a 'lesser' form of life, thousands of years ago.
I believe that science feeds our minds, and religion fuels our hearts and souls. Not such a bad thing...

A scientist can not stay away from the concern of clever layout. the reason being that throughout the time of technological know-how, there is often a commencing up, a initiate. Now, i could quite have my infant learn evolution- simply by fact i don't see it as being contradictory to the presence of an clever dressmaker.

We can understand the invisible things of God from the creation, but if, and the bible says that man does, deny what we see then our thinking becomes vain, worthless. And we are without excuse, also.

I believe creation is an expression of his personality. The bad that happens in the world is a result of sin/the curse, not his personality.

isn't the 'design" and order of the universe enough evidence of God? where does love, truth, justice, etc. come from, are they merely traits that we evolved with or do they come from a higher power?
