Is alcohol forbidden in the Quran?

Ate at a Turkish restaurant today. They didn't serve pork, but beer, wine and Irish coffee. I was wandering wether they compromised their beliefs because a restaurant usually makes a lot of profit with alcohol or if alcohol is actually allowed for muslims?

Prohibition of Alcohol:::

Prohibition in the Quran ch:5 v:90" oh ye believe!Intoxicants and Gambling,(dedication of) stones,and(devination by)arrows,are an abomination-of satan's handiwork;eschew such (abomination),that ye may prosper."

Prohibition in the Bible: Proverbs 20:1:" wine is a mocker,strong dring is a raging;and whosoever is deceived is not wise"
Emphesians :ch:5 v:18 :"And be not drunk with wine"

ALCOHOL INHIBITS THE INHIBITORY CENTRE:

The human beings possess an inhibitory centre in there brain.this inhibitory centre prevents the person from doing things that he considers rong.For instance a person does nto normally use abusive language while adressing his parentsor elders.if he has to answer the call of nature,his inhibitory centre will prevent him from doing it in public therefore he uses the toilet.
when the person consumes alcohol the inhibitory centre it self becomes inhibited.that is precisely the reason that an inebriated person is often found to be indulging in behaviour that is completely uncharacteristic of him.for instance the intoxicating person is found to use abusive and foul language and does nto realise his mistakes even when adressing parents ,wife,or elders.many even urinate in their cloths.neitehr do they talk nor they walk properly.

CASES OF RAPE, ADULTERY,INCEST AND AIDS IS FOUND MORE AMONG ALCOHOLICS:

according to national crime victimisationsurvey bureauof justice(us department of justice)in the yr 1996 alone ,everyday on average 2713 rapes took place.the statistics tells us that majority of the rapists were intoxicated while commiting crime.the same is true in case of molestation.according to statistics,8% of americans commit incesti.e one in every 12 to 13 persons in america is involved in incest.almost all the cases of incest are due to intoxication of one of both the persons involved.one of the most major factor associated with AIDS is alcoholism.

EVERY ALCOHOLIC WAS INITIALLY A SOCIAL DRINKER:

many may argue in favour of liquor by calling them selves as "social drinkers".they claim that they will only have one or two pegs or pints and will retain self controland so never get intoxicated.investigations reveal that every alcoholic started as a social drinker.not a single alcoholic or drunkcard initially starts drinking with the intention of becoming an alcoholicor a drunk card.no social drinker can say that i have been drinking for so and so years and have never been drunk.atleast all they drink have been drunk once in there life.

IF A PERSON IS INTOXICATED JUST ONCE AND COMMITS SOMETHING SHAMEFUL IT WILL REMAIN WITH HIM FOR THE LIFE TIME.

suppose a social looses his self control just once .in a state of intoxication he commits rape or incest .even if teh act is latter regretted a normal human being is likely to carry the guilt throughout his life.both the victim and the perpetrator are irreparably and irreversibly damaged.

DISEASES ASSOCIATED WITH ALCOHOLISM:

the maximum number of deaths in the world related to one perticular cause is due to the intake of alcohol.it can cause hundreds of deseases like cirrhosis of liver,,cancer of oesophagus,head and neck,cancer of liver,cancer of bowelalong with these humdreds others .we can list them for days together and discuss them for moths together.

IS ALCOHOLISM A DESEASES?

Medical doctors have now turned liberal towards Alcoholics and call alcoholism a deseases rather than an addiction.

IS SOLD IN BOTTLES
IS ADVERTISED IN NEWS PAPPERS
HAS LICENCED OUTLETS TO SPREAD IT
PRODUCES REVENUE FOR THE GOVERNMENT
BRINGS VIOLENT DEATHS ON THE HIGHWAY
DISTROY FAMILY, LIVES AND INCREASE CRIME
HAS NO JERMS AND VIRAL CAUSE.

PROPHIT MUHAMMAD(PBUH)WAS REPORTED IN SAYING:

sunan ibn-i-majah vol:3 Book of intoxicants,ch:30 hadith no:3380.

"God's curse falls on 10 groups of people who deal with alcohol.the one who distills it,the one for whom it has been distilled,the one who drinks it,the one who transports it,the one who serves it,the one who sells it,the one who utilises money from it,the one who buys it ands the one who buys it for some one else."

Hadith no:3392 says " any thing that intoxicates in the large quantity is prohibitted even in a smaller quantity."
thus there is nto excuse for a nip or a tot.

ITS NOT A DESEASE :

ALLAh(swt) in his infinite wisdom has warned us against this snare of satan.Islam is called the "deen-ul-fitr" or the natural religion of the men.all its injunctions are aimed at preserving the natural state of man.alcohol is a deviation from this natural state for the indivisual as well as for the society.it degrades humans to alevel below that of the beast he claims to be superior to .hence the consumption of alcohol is completely prohibited in islam.all the principles of Islam are full of logic and not against humanity atall as a whole.infact they benifits the humanity and provides solutions to almost all the major problems of human kind as a whole and are for eternity.

Forbidden in Bible : No less than 3 places Leviticus ch:11 v:7-8 deuteronomy ch:14 v:8 and Isaiah ch:65 v:2-5 "And the swine ,because it devideth the hoof,yet cheweth not the cud,it is unclean unto you,ye shall not eat of their flesh,nor touch their dead carcass"Deuteronomy 14:8

Consumption of pork can cause several deseases.

eating pork can cause no less than seventy diffrent types of deseases.a person can have various helminthes like roundworm,hookworm,pinworm etc.one of the most dangerous is Taenia Solium, which is in lay man's terminology called tapeworm.it harbours in the intestine and is very long.its ova(eggs)enter the blood stream and can reach almost all the organs of the body. if it enters the brain it can cause memory loss.if it enters the eyes it can cause the sight loss and even blindness.if it enters the heart it can cause heart attack. if it can enter the liver it can cause liver damage.it can damage almost all the organs of the body.anohter dangerour helminthes is trichura tichurasis.a common misconception about port is that if its cooked well these ove die. in the research project undertaken in america it was found that out of twenty four people suffering from trichura tichurasis, twenty two had cooked the pork very well.this indicates that ova present in the pork do not die at the normal cooking temperature.

PORK HAS MORE FAT BUILDING MATERIAL:

the pork has more fat building matrerialand very little muscle building material.this fat can deposit in the vessels and can cause hypertension and heart attacks.this is nto surprising that over 50% of americans suffer from hypertension.

PIG IS ONE OF THE FILTHIEST ANIMALS ON EARTH:

the pig is one of the most filthiest animals on earth.it lives and thrives on muck,faeces and dirt.it is the best scavenger that i know God has produced.In the villages in countries like india they dont have moedern toilets and people excrete in open air.very often excreta is cleared by pigs.even if they are bred in very hygienic conditions pigs are kept together in sties. no matter you try to keep them clean they are filthy by nature.they eat and enjoy there own as well as there neighbour's excreta.

ITS THE MOST SHAMELESS ANIMAL:

The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth.It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate.studies tells us that what humans eat has a big effect on there nature. people in west and america consume pork alot.many times after parties and even in the televission programes now a days they have swapping of wives;i.e many say you sleep with my wife and i sleep with yours with no shame .no wounder if you eat pig you start behaving like a pig.

Hi, Internationally, people go by the gregorian calendar. For religious events Muslims go by the lunar calendar. Therefore the exact date to mark the end of Ramadhan is currently unknown, however it will probably be announced tonight and Eid will be as of tomorrow, so you should be able to go out saturday night like you planned, because they won't be fasting. Alcohol is strictly forbidden is Islam. Even though some Muslims drink it, it is not permmitted. No-one is perfect, including muslims. Robbery, murder and rape are all illegal, yet it doesnt stop people from commiting such acts. Rules are rules, whether its state law or religion based laws. I studied Christianity a few years ago and learnt that there is a branch of christians who don't drink alcohol. I cant remember but i think it was something like protestants, and during the bread/wine part of mass they subsitute alcohol with ribena (i think)

Yes, anything that's considered an intoxicant is forbidden in Islam. We're forbidden from drinking it, touching, selling, transporting it...etc..

Yes. Alcohol, television, sex, dancing, swim suits, soccer and anything else that is fun is forbidden. Of course if you die blowing up infidels, allah (p BUH) gives you these things in paradise.
