There is a guy a like. We have known each other for about a year and a half. I like him a lot. Last year i found out that he liked me at the same time that i liked him, but he ened up going out with someone b/c he didn't know. Well recently i found out that they've been broken up for a while. I want to ask him to prom, and everyone is telling me i should...but i don't know if he likes me again. He's always asking me for hugs when he sees me. & smiles a lot around me. But i also noticed that another girl likes him, but i don't know if he likes her or not.
I've spent all weekend thinking about him, and what i should do. Because if he does like me again, i don't want this opportunity to pass me by again. I don't know what to do, and this is driving me crazy.
Any suggestions?? Or opinions on what you think i should do? It would be greatly appreicated.

Don't ask him to the Prom. Ask if he has a date to the Prom and tell him you have no date either. If he doesn't get the hint that's not your fault.

Ok look, if the guy is always wanting hugs and such from you then he obviously likes you. Especially if he is always smiling around you, that is an obvious hint. If you really like the guy, and want to go to the prom with him, you better get moving. If there is someone else who likes him and he still doesn't know that YOU do, you'll miss out, again. Go out with him and some friends, feel out the situation, and if you feel good about it, ask him to the prom. Guys like women to be forward sometimes. Eliminates any other possibilities when a girl says, "Hey I like you." You gotta put yourself out there.

OK, here's what you do. Get up early, take a long shower, get all "dolled up", dress real nice, and that will give you confidence and make you feel good about yourself. Then you walk up to the guy, give him a hug and say "I was wondering, if you're not taken already, do you want to go to prom with me?" It's that simple. Better do it before someone else does. You only live once, so do it! You don't want to regret not doing it.

I would do it and quick before someone else gets him first. If he liked you then im sure he still likes you now. But he needs you to make the first move. Prom isnt far away and If I was you I would ask him Tomorrow or tonight if he dont already have a date.

Dont just outright ask him to the prom, ask him subtly by asking if he has a date, and suggest that you two should go together(add just as friends if you are not sure). Its not like you are implying much, but its also a way to find out if he likes you and to get close to him.

Being a guy I'll tell you this if he is asking for hugs, and smiles a lot he likes you Sooooo there is another girl that likes him SSSSOOOOOO pretend you don't give a crap about her just ask him he will tell you how he feels about you he will most likly say yes!!!

Well if you like him a lot, think about what fun you will have with him at prom and just ask him. it sounds like you have building blocks for a great relationship and it sounds like he doesn't know what he's missing. so just ask. good luck
