You are going to have to get to a dentist. It can become life or death. Abscesses can become deadly if untreated and the infection enters your bone then travels to your bloodstream. I don't mean to try to scare you, but that is just the fact. Cover your head with a blanket, take a sedative, and have someon drive you, or anything else to get there. You can go to a dentist that will give you "gas" to help you to relax and sleep through the procedure. Most of the time you can't just pull an abscessed tooth because it will crumble, so the Dr. can't do a house call. Good Luck and it is the safest thing for you to get to a dentist.

I HATE TOOTHACHES!!!!!!
I feel for you! I`ve woke up a few times through out my life, with my cheek/jaw bone swollen so bad I thought It would never Go down, and to top off all the worrying,The Pain!!!
Unfortunately the dentist`s are Not Allowed to work on a patient with infection in the gums/ mouth..BUT they are supposed to give you ANTIBIOTICS, & tell you to come back in 3 days or so.(when the infection gone)
SO YOU NEED ANTIBIOTICS ASAP! and i guess if you cant find them anywhere(through a friend/family) Then You Have To go back to the dentist And make him give it up...
Im sorry I really hope you feel better soon.

....( tip:this made my cheek puff more,& felt like dead weight on my face...Soit may or may not affect you but just in case, try not to bend over alot - tilting your head down.. -or even sleeping laying all the way flat down,ALWAYS MAKES IT WORSE(4me anyway)

If you call an emergency room and your problem is not immediately life threatning they will always try to lead you to go see your doctor. But if you go to the hospital at night when doctor offices are closed they will have to help you some how. Even if it is only giving you antibiotics and then setting you up with a social worker or a dentist office that can be of more help to you.

you may be able to call your local community dentist, if you have a health care card or pension card, but in your circumstance you do suffer from a 'dissability' having agoraphobic. they may be able to come to you and see whats going on with your teeth, im guessing you have an infection from a decayed tooth that has abcessed and you may need antibiotics. get in touch with community workers and they may be able to help you find a dentist who will come to you as soon as possible.

Well, in the absence of more information about why your cheek is still swollen and sore, it is difficult to give you good advice, but if you are not getting help from mainstream medicine, try alternative medicine route. Rescue Remedy (Bach Flower Essence) will probably help you right now.

Good luck. Try to breathe normally. There is no use panicking. If you are still in trouble, go to ER in your area.

you have to go out to see one. dentists don't make house calls. there is nothing you can do at home if the tooth is infected or absessed. gargle with salt water to help ease the pain.
