Well, the pain of a tattoo depends on two things: the location of the tattoo and your natural pain tolerance. Everyone here is going to give you a different answer, because the pain is different for each individual. You're getting the tattoo on your inner wrist for one thing, which admittedly is a bit more painful than other places because of the sensitivity and thinness of the skin there. Second, ask yourself if you are honestly (and be honest here) a wuss or less tolerant when it comes to pain. That should give you an idea. In the end, it's just a tattoo and only a few hours out of your life at most. Suck it up and get it done if you really want to and don't worry so much about the pain beforehand.

Without a doubt, different people feel pain to greater and lesser degrees. It's also true that different parts of the body are more and less sensitive. Areas that are fleshy (upper arm, calf, abdomen) tend to feel pain less than areas close to bone (an ankle, elbow, or the spine, for example). Some people will describe it as a hot scratching sensation while others will feel something more acute. Some people will wince and practice a breathing exercise to control the pain while others chat casually and even seem to doze. It's also remarkable how much of an effect your tattoo artist can make, both physically and mentally, on your experience of pain in the tattoo process.

Wait a minute...you were asking questions earlier about what to get tattooed on you.
I don't think a day is a good enough time frame to figure out what you want tattooed on you, but whatever, your body not mine.
All tattoos hurt sweetie, but how bad depends on your tolerance to pain and where the tattoo is. The skill and hand of the artist will be a small factor too, but you should be fine.

Im a real sissy of a girl - and have two tattoos. It is painful, but completely bearable! Take a bottle of some kind of high sugar energy drink to sip continually while they're doing it. I got a friend to hold my hand the entire time and talk to me about other stuff right through the ordeal...! Afterward it becomes an addictive pastime! So it cant be all that bad for the rest of the tattooed population- and they cant all have brilliant pain threshholds! hehe

It really depends on you and your pain tolerance. For some people certain places hurt more than others. It is true that tattoos on bone hurt more, but some people would say other wise. The best thing is to just think about how great it will look when it's done. And if it's not that big then you won't have to deal with the pain for that long.

Of course it hurts because it's a needle piercing your skin. But no one can really tell you how bad it hurts. Every one has a different tolerance towards pain. I personally myself have four. Yes it did hurt but it was more of an irritating feeling. But mainly it all comes down to how strong or weak you are towards pain.
Good luck!

I have both wrists done and they were the least painful of my tattoos. I was told by my tattoo artist that as long as the tattoo is above the 3rd "bracelet" (or line) on your wrist it is much less painful.
If you have any more ?'s just holler at me

It hurts just a tiny bit. It depends on how much pain you can take. If you don't think about the pain then it doesn't hurt as much.

your inner wrist is very sensitive. you may want to warn the artist that you're unsure of what your reaction will be and ask for breaks. hopefully your design is simple.
good luck!

In my experience, if it's on an area that not very fatty or right by a bone, it hurts like hell. Tattoos on a fatty area (your butt cheek), don't hurt nearly as much. Of course it all depends on your personal pain tolerance.
