All answers (so far) say that God does not change? If so then is he still the ethnic cleansing, mysognist, jealous entity that he is in the Old testament?

Repentance can lead to God forgiving us of all our sin and make us clean enough to worship Him, as a Holy person through His provision in Jesus Christ.
Sin = death and uncleanness according to God's laws, that He has put into the hearts of all mankind. Yet when we repent and accept Jesus into our lives He is turned towards us as if we had no sin with Love and kindness and life eternal, rather then judgment and death. We have the choice to change the direction of God's decision in our out come.
Other then that, God will not, does not change.
