When the oven light turns off, or for an electric oven about 12 minutes, or for a gas oven, about 7 minutes.

It should only take 15- 20 minutes to preheat, depending on the oven.

Most conventional ovens have a light to indicate when the oven is pre-heated, but in other cases, will have to judge.

I generally put the oven on as I am preparing the meal, so it is ready for when I need it :)

It really depends on your oven and how old it is. A newer oven may heat it to that temperature quicker. An old oven may have lost some insulation. But as a rule as people have been saying 15-20 minutes. It's quite hot!

I usually just turn the oven on while I'm preparing whatever it is I will be putting in it. Usually about 10 minutes. Invest in an oven thermometer if in doubt.

This totally depends on the ambient temperature of the environment and the energy/heat output and insulation of the oven. Of course this presupposes that the oven has a heat thermostat and controller.
